Outokumpu sees loss for Q2
|
According to report, the Finnish stainless steelmaker Outokumpu said its Q2 result to turn to loss on the uncertain economy in Europe.
From its earlier forecast, the company expected its Q2 result will be break-even or only a little loss.
However, due to the drop of nickel prices and destocking activities from its distributors, the result is even worse than earlier expectation.
Currently the company expects the operation results will be a loss of €40 million.
But the company did not comment on the market conditions that has resulted in the capacity and how long it will stop the operation during the summer.
