Brazil’s imports of steel long products surge substantially in June
|
According to data, Brazil’s imports of steel long products surged substantially by 36% from a month earlier to 96,000 tons in June.
Among them, the imports of rebar increased by 23% month on month to reach 16,000 tons.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s imports of steel flat products also rose by 48% to reach 174,000 tons in June.
The analyst at Barclays Capital predicted that the prices of steel flat products might stop rebounding soon as the surged imports may cause the Brazilian steel flat market face fierce price competiveness.
