Germany’s H1 crude steel output down by 5.7% y-o-y
|
According to statistics released by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl, the country’s crude steel output totaled 21.9 million tons in the first half of this year, falling by 5.7% year on year.
In June alone, Germany produced 3.73 million tons of crude steel, rising slightly from 3.7 million tons in a month earlier.
The federation indicated that it may cut the forecast for 44 million tons in 2012 made in early this year, due to uncertain economy and debt crisis in euro zone.
