Japan’s austenitic stainless shipments to rise in August
|
Recently, the Japanese users have increased the purchase volumes of cold rolled (CR) austenitic stainless steel plates to 200 ~300 tons from 100 tons for August shipments.
It’s known that the Japanese users noted that the stainless steel prices have almost touched the bottom and started to purchase after the major stainless steel producers in Asia cut the list prices of CR austenitic stainless steel plates for July.
In China, Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group (Tisco) announced to cut the list prices of CR austenitic stainless steel plates by RMB800/ton for July and Baosteel Stainless also reduce the prices by RMB700/ton.
Besides, the Taiwanese stainless makers have decided to cut the July list prices of austenitic stainless steel products by NT$3,000/ton.
Affected by these factors, it’s expected that Japan’s shipments of austenitic stainless steel products would rise in August.
