Spain’s deformed steel bar prices sluggish on weak domestic demand
|
It’s reported that Spain’s deformed steel bar prices have slid by €15/ton in the past two weeks due to soft domestic demand and falling scrap prices.
In fact, the Spanish steelmakers sought to raise the deformed steel bar prices in early June; however, they failed.
Nevertheless, it’s expected that the deformed steel bar prices might rebound in August as the steel mills will have the annual maintenance during July through August, which will help to balance the supply and demand.
