US’s crude steel output rises slightly
|
According to statistics released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the US produced 1.881 million short tons of crude steel in the week ended on June 30th, rising by 1.5% from 1.854 million short tons in a week earlier.
Also, the figures increased by 0.9% from 1.869 million short tons in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, the capacity utilization rate of the US steelmaking facilities was at 76.1%, higher than 75% in a week earlier.
