Brazil to continue AD investigation on more imported steel products

The Brazilian Steel Institute (IABr) said that the Brazilian government will continue the antidumping (AD) investigation on more imported steel products in order to reduce the steel import volumes.
Marco Polo de Mello Lopes, the executive president of IABr indicated that it’s necessary to continue the AD investigation to project the local industry.
In the recent years, Brazil’s steel imports have kept rising due to increased demand and appreciated currency.
As a result, the local steel mills urged the government to take measurement to restrict the steel imports.
