Russian Severstal plans to boost HDG output for GAZ Group in 2012

It is reported that Russia’s Severstal has planned to lift its hot dipped galvanized (HDG) products output in order to support GAZ Group, Russia's Largest Automotive Engineering Holding in this year.
GAZ Group is one of major customer of the Cherepovets Steel Mill and the company has occupied and ordered more than 73% of HDG products from the Cherepovets Steel Mill between July 2011 and May 2012.
The HDG products would be mainly applied for automobile industry which would be able to meet requirement of 56 parts of the Gazel-business underbody in this year.
In addition, the Cherepovets Steel Mill was able to provide its rolled high-strength steel grades for GAZ Group and it would use for Volkswagen and General Motors, initially on a trial basis for example.
The company has also discussed other parts of steel for using in particular vehicle.
