Ukraine’s H1 steel output down by 3% y-o-y

According to the data released by the State Statistics Service (Gosstata), Ukraine produced 16.839 million tons of steel in the first half of this year, decreasing by 3% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s output of pig iron increased by 2% year on year to 14.521 million tons.
In June alone, Ukraine produced 2.793 million tons of steel, falling by 4.3% from a month earlier while increasing by 2.5% year on year.
