Malaysia starts AD investigation on steel wire rod from four countries
|
It is reported that Malaysia’s International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) is to investigate AD duty on steel wire rod imported from Taiwan, China, Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey.
Domestic producers alleged that previous countries imported steel wire rods at a much lower price than their domestic countries, which caused injury to Malaysia’s domestic industry.
Therefore, the government has decided to initiate investigation on it.
Miti has asked for importers, foreign producers, exporters and associations to request for the questionnaires before July 11st. According to regulations, the preliminary determination will be made within 120 days from the date of initiation.
