Fire halts operation at JFE Steel Hiroshima plant

It's reported that a fire broke out at JFE Steel's Horoshima plant in western Japan on Wednesday morning after coking coal escaped from one of three furnaces in operation. According to the company, the fire was put out at around 3:30 AM local time after burning for about 2.5 hours. It is unclear when operations will resume at the furnace and fortunately that no workers were injured in the accident.
