Feng Hsin cuts prices of steel bar and wire rod for July

Feng Hsin, one of the major steel long product producers in Taiwan announced to cut its base prices of steel bar and wire rod by NT$1,000/ton for July.
Meanwhile, this is the first time that the company cut the prices since this year.
After the price announcement, the company’s latest prices of 1008A wire rod are at MT$23,800/ton; that of 45C straight bar with diameters of 13~100mm is at NT$24,200/ton and that of 45C straight bar with diameters of 103~150mm is at NT$23,700/ton and that of A36 straight bar with diameter of 51~72mm is at NT$23,100/ton.
Feng Hsin stated that it decided to cut the prices of steel bar and wire rod by NT$1,000/ton as it considered the weak demand from downstream buyers and China Steel Corp. (CSC) cut the list prices of electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rod for July.
