Scrap prices may dip further in US domestic market in July
|
Reportedly, the market participants have seen the scrap prices to drop further by US$30/long ton in the US domestic market in July.
It’s analyzed that the scrap demand from the US domestic steel mills have remained sluggish in the past few months as some steel mills postponed the production for maintenance.
Besides, as the demands for steel flat and long products have been falling recently, it’s predicted that the some steels in the US mill may not purchase scraps in July.
Also, the US scrap export prices have continued falling over the past one month.
Affected by these factors, it’s been seen that the scrap prices might drop further in the US domestic market in July.
