Tenaris commences new finishing line for boiler tubes mill in Romania
|
Reportedly, Tenaris has formally commenced its new finishing facility for boiler tubes in Zalau, northern part of Romania on June 21st, 2012 with investment of US$60 million in the construction.
As a 100% dedicated boiler line, it is said the seamless tubes mill in Zalau is becoming a hub for Tenaris’s power generation business to support the power generation industry with a capacity of 75,000 tons per year.
In 2012, Tenaris contributed in the merger of a sucker rod production facility located in Campina, near central part of Romania.
Tenaris also invested another US$50 million in a state of the art threading facility for tubes used in the oil and gas industry, to be completed in 2013.
