Turkey’s steel pipe exports drop by 14.8% y-o-y in May

Turkey exported 126,282 tons of steel pipes in May, falling by 17.2% from a month earlier and decreasing by 14.8% year on year, according to data released by the Turkey’s Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB).
In the first five months, Turkey’s exports of steel pipes totaled 734,652 tons, up by 1.24% in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, the export revenues of steel pipes amounted to US$688 million, decreasing by 3% year on year.
Among them, 74,453 tons were exported to the US; 86,155 tons were to Iraq and 33,239 tons were to Netherlands.
