China's daily steel output reaches 2 million tons in early June
|
According to China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China steelmakers’ average daily output reached of 2 million tons in the first 10 days of June, back to record high of early May.
CISA said that for the period in question, large and medium steelmakers’ output was 11.51 million tons, up by 35% from the year beginning, while small mills’ output has begun to pare output.
The major steelmakers in China are unwilling to give up market share, although the weak market leaves little profit space, according to CISA.
