Tenaris to pour US$1.5 billion to install new seamless pipe mill in US

Reportedly, Tenaris, Luxembourg-based pipe manufacturer said that the firm planned to pour US$1.5 billion to expand its operations in the US, including the installation of a seamless steel pipe mill, heat treatment and premium threading equipment.
Tenaris expects to put the new mill into operation in 2016 and the annual production capacity is designed at 650,000 tons of high quality seamless steel pipes.
Also, Tenaris expects that this new project will help to strengthen its local production and service capacities, aiming to reduce lead time.
