Turkey’s April stainless steel flat product imports drop by 1.13% m-o-m

Turkey imported 31,238 tons of stainless steel flat products in April, down by 1.13% from a month earlier while rising by 13.8% year on year, according to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
In April, the country’s import values of stainless steel products amounted to US$79.9 million, falling by 6.5% from the previous month and decreasing by 7.1% year on year.
Among them, 6,493 tons were from Taiwan, falling by 20.1%; 5,756 tons were from South Korea, soaring by 82%, both compared to that in the same period of a year ago.
In the first four months of this year, Turkey imported 122,926 tons of stainless steel flat products, soaring by 3.6% year on year.
