Taiwan’s May HDG steel product exports surge by 13.3% m-o-m

According to statistics of Taiwan’s customs, Taiwan exported 109,196 tons of hot dipped galvanized steel products (HDG) in May, surging by 13.3% from a month earlier. The average export prices were at NT$27,340/ton.
In May, China was the largest importer of the Taiwanese HDG steel products with 19,545 tons and average prices of NT$26,180/ton; the US was the second largest one with 17,582 tons and average prices of NT$36,300/ton; Mexico was the third largest one with 12,747 tons and average prices of NT$26,774/ton.
Meanwhile, Taiwan imported 43,938 tons of HDG steel products in May, soaring substantially by 91.1% month on month.
