Reportedly, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has recalculated the dumping margins for certain steel products from the EU and Japan as the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruled that the DOC applied the unacceptable zeroing methodology in determining the dumping rates in the previous administrative reviews.
The revised dumping duty deposit rate for stainless steel plates in coils from Belgium’s Amperam Stainless Belgium N.V. is at 0% instead of 6.57%; that for steel concrete reinforcing bars from Latvia’s Joint Stock Company Liepajas Metalurgs is at 4.87% instead of 5.94%.
Meanwhile, the revised dumping duty deposit rate for stainless steel wire rod from Spain’s Roldan S.A. is at 0% instead of 0.8%; that for stainless steel sheet and strip from Japan’s Nippon Kinzoku is at 0% instead of 0.54%.
The revised dumping rates have become effective from June 8th, 2012.
