Philippines Batangas Manila natural gas pipeline project may receive financing from ADB

It is reported that Philippines government may secure the loan for the planned US$150 million 100 kilometer Batangas Manila natural gas pipeline from Asian Development Bank.
This natural gas pipeline project involves the construction of natural gas transmission and distribution pipeline facilities from the province of Batangas to transport and supply natural gas to the various industries in the economic zones of Batangas, Laguna and Cavite.
Philippines’ largest beverage, food and packaging company San Miguel Corporation is said to have interest in participating in the pipeline project along with the competition foreign investors such as PTT of Thailand, Marubeni Corporation, Japanese power group and Gazprom, Russian power group .
