US’s April steel exports fall by 3.1% m-o-m
|
According to data, the US exported 1.167 million tons of steel in April, falling by 3.1% from 1.204 million tons in March, decreasing for consecutive three months.
However, the figures increased by 13.6% in comparison of 1.027 million tons in the same period of a year earlier.
Mr. David Phelps, the President of the American Institute for International Steel (AIIS) said that the dip in April steel exports was caused by a 9% drop in exports to NAFTA markets.
