Taiwanese Hai Kwang reduces rebar prices on sluggish demand
|
Hai Kwang, one of the major rebar producers in Taiwan announced to reduce its rebar selling prices by NT$300/ton to NT$19,500/ton for this week in response to sluggish demand.
The company stated that the weak demand was caused by slow construction activity due to heavy rains in the southern Taiwan.
For the prospect, Hai Kwang predicted that the market might remain weak if the downstream users continue away from the market.
Meanwhile, it’s known that Feng Hsin, another major rebar in Taiwan also cut its rebar list prices by NT$300/ton for this week.
