Thai government approves to stop production of lower end substandard steel
|
It’s reported that Thai Industry Ministry is able to close down lower grade steel factories that is below substandard as a draft bill has been approved by Thailand government to grant Industry Ministry the authority to do so.
It is said such bill will overhaul the root problem to give consumers confidence in the safety of houses and construction in general.
The steel enterprises that produce and sell substandard steel will not be tolerated.
The Department of Special Investigation and police will also be getting involved in finding those who provides the substandard steel.
The new law would stipulate the type of raw materials to be used and the quality of products made in factories in accordance with the Factory Act of 1992.
