Essar Algoma reports US$37 million profit for its fiscal year

According to report, Canada’s Essar Steel Algoma reports its net income about US$ 36.9 million for the fiscal year ended March 31st. But its fourth quarter result was a net loss of CAD18 million. The result turns better profit due to higher sales volumes, prices and lower costs and product mix.
The shipments rose about 2.6 million tons, an 8.9% increase from the prior fiscal year. And sales were CAD 2.16 billion.
The company installed one oven pressure control system which raised the operating reliability.
