Turkey’s April billet exports surge significantly by 179% m-o-m
|
Turkey’s exports of steel billets and blooms totaled 206,930 tons in April, down by 9.6% year on year while surging significantly by 179% from a month earlier, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK)
In April, the export values generated by billets and blooms amounted to US$129.2 million, soaring by 178.5% month on month while decreasing by 11% in comparison of that in the same period of a year ago.
In the first four months of this year, Turkey exported 656,147 tons of billets and blooms, decreasing by 18% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s export values generated by billets and blooms totaled US$403.2 million, falling by 16% year on year.
