China’s steel, copper output growth turns slow in May
|
According to report, China’s industrial material metal production growth slowed in May from previous month.
China’s May steel output increased by 2.5% year on year and 1.1% from the previous month to 61.23 million tons. But on daily average production calculation, the steel production dropped 2.5% from April to 1.97 million tons.
In fact, the inventory dropped by about 2% in May which means that smaller mills cut the output.
Copper production also turned weak in May. However, the overall industrial growth rose to 9.6% in May from 9.3% in April.
