Brazil’s iron ore exports rise by 4.9% m-o-m in May

According to statistics release by the Brazilian Foreign Trade Ministry, Brazil exported 26.80 million tons of iron ore in May, rising by 4.9% from a month earlier and up by 1.4% year on year.
In May, the export values generated by iron ore amounted to U$2.76 billion, increasing by 7.2% from April while decreasing by 23.7% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country exported 656,300 tons of semi-finished steel products in May, jumping by 7.8% and the export values were at US$396.7 million, increasing by 9.3%, both compared to that in a month ago.
