US scrap export prices to Taiwan continue falling
|
It’s reported that the US scrap export prices to Taiwan have continued falling recently.
This week, the selling prices of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan have dipped to US$400/ton C&F, decreasing substantially by US$15/ton from a week earlier.
Industry sources said that the international scrap market has stayed in downward trend due to debt crisis in euro zone. Thus, the Taiwanese steel mills have sought for lower scrap prices.
Moreover, it’s said that the Taiwanese steel mills have bid US$390/ton C&F for the US scrap.
