South Korea’s HRC export prices slide

Recently, South Korea’s export prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) have been falling continuously. At present, the mainstream HRC quotes have dropped by US$20~US$30/ton.
It’s said that Posco offered HRC quoted at US$650/ton FOB to Southeast Asian buyers currently, down by US$20~US$30/ton from that in early May.
Industry sources said that the HRC prices have decreased to US$680~US$690/ton CFR in Southeast Asia and it might drop further in the short term.
It’s known that the HRC prices have dipped by US$30/ton in Southeast Asian market, due to increased cheap imports from China.
