Rebar prices rise in Taiwanese market on active buying
|
Due to the falling global scrap prices, the Taiwanese rebar mills have cut rebar base prices by NT$200~NT$300/ton to NT$19,700~NT$19,800/ton for this week.
Since the rebar price has touched the bottom, the Taiwan domestic rebar distributors have restarted to release their purchase orders to the market.
It is said that the Taiwanese rebar maker received around 50,000 tons of rebar orders in this week and it has been expected that the order volumes will keep going up in the near future.
According to the rebar producers in Taiwan, they received orders not only from rebar distributors, but also from the construction sectors and end users.
It’s analyzed that low inventory in the market is the major reason to boost the current buying activities.
