Vietnam mulls to reduce export duties on coal
|
Reportedly, the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance currently solicited the opinion on the proposal to reduce the export duties on coal submitted by the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin).
It’s known that Vinacomin requested to reduce the export duties on coal to 0% as the slumped coal export prices have caused the company’s coal inventory reach 7.5 million tons.
At present, Vietnam’s export duties on coal are at 20%. In the first four months of this year, the country’s coal exports totaled 3.9 million tons, decreasing by 15% year on year.
