Taiwan’s scrap import prices continue falling

Recently, Taiwan’s scrap import prices have continued falling.
It’s known that the quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan are at US$415~US$420/ton C&F currently, decreasing by US$15~US$20/ton from the previous quote of US$430/ton C&F.
Industry sources said that as the Taiwanese electric furnace (EF) steel mills forecasted that the imported scrap prices would dip further in the near future, they’ve taken wait-and-see attitude.
