Japanese Tokyo Steel cuts scrap purchase prices

It’s reported that Japanese Tokyo Steel announced to cut the scrap purchase prices by ¥500/ton from May 29th.
After the adjustment, its latest purchase prices of H2 scrap are at ¥28,500~¥31,000/ton.
Among them, the H2 scrap purchase prices in Okayama plant is at ¥30,500/ton; that in Kyushu plant is at ¥30,500~31,000/ton; that in Tahara plant is at ¥30,500/ton; that in Utsunomiya plant is at ¥30,000/ton; and that in Takamatsu steel center is at ¥28,500/ton.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel has reduced the scrap purchase prices for consecutive four times since this May. The total price cut has accumulated to ¥1,500~¥3,000/ton.
