South Korea’s April CR stainless steel imports down by 11.2% m-o-m

According to statistics released by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), South Korea imported 11,962 tons of cold rolled (CR) stainless steel in April, decreasing by 11.2% from a month earlier.
In April, the average import prices of CR stainless steel were at US$3,116/ton, down by 12% month on month.
The imports of wide stainless steel strips totaled 9,793 ton, down by 9.4% from a month ago.
Among them, 1,365 tons were 200 grade wide stainless steel strips with average import prices of US$2,095/ton, including 673 tons from China and 652 tons from Taiwan.
Meanwhile, the imports of 300 grades totaled 2,000 tons with average prices of US$2,263/ton, including 821 tons from Taiwan and 277 tons from China.
