Pacific Metals to raise Ferro-nickel output by 21% this year
|
Reportedly, Pacific Metals, Japan’s largest ferro-nickel producer has planned increase its output by 21% this year. Annual output has estimated to reach 34,800 metric tons, from 28,700 tons a year earlier, said by Kosuke Naradate, a company spokesman.
The Hachinohe plant in Aomori prefecture has an annual capacity equivalent to 44,000 tons of refined nickel.
In the background, Nippon & Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corp. own 10% stake in Pacific Metals.
