US Nucor Fastener schedules to expand by 2015 in spite of current economic climate

It’s reported that Nucor Fastener Division, founded in 1985, a division of Charlotte, N.C.-based, US steelmaker Nucor Corporation located St. Joe, Indiana said that it planned to bolster its operations by investing US$23.2 million to expand and equip by 2015.
Currently, the company is able to produce approximately 75,000 tons of bolts and nuts each year. 30 new jobs will be created from existing 250 full-time employees in Indiana.
Nucor Fastener manufactures a variety of high-quality, specialty products for customers in the construction, heavy truck and MRO industries.
Last month, Indiana led the nation in private sector job growth at six times the national rate and was second in the nation in manufacturing job growth.
