Rebar sales rise in South Korean market
|
The rebar sales in the South Korean domestic market surged substantially last week.
According to statistics, the daily rebar sales in the South Korean domestic market soared to around 40,000 tons last week from 35,000 tons in a week earlier.
The local steelmakers’ rebar stocks totaled 230,000 tons in the end of last week, much lower than 330,000 tons in the beginning of May.
It’s analyzed that Korea Land and Housing Corporation’s resumption of order placement boosted the domestic demand for rebar.
