Taiwan’s April stainless steel scrap imports down by 29% m-o-m

According to statistics, Taiwan imported 24,773 tons of stainless steel scrap in April, down by 29% from a month earlier. The average prices were at NT$59,414/ton, down by NT$2,158/ton from NT$61,572/ton in March.
Among them, 7,297 tons were from the US with average prices of NT$65,502/ton; 3,466 tons were from the UK with average prices of NT$62,275/ton and 2,433 tons were from Thailand with average prices of NT$54,305/ton.
In the first four months of this year, Taiwan’s imports of stainless steel scrap amounted to 112,000 tons.
