Taiwan’s imports of large-size wire rod shrink

It’s reported that Taiwan’s imports of large-size wire rod with diameters more than or equal to 14mm have continued to shrink for consecutive three months due to weak demand.
Meanwhile, the import prices of large-size wire rod have fallen to NT$25,000/ton in April, the lowest level over the past one year.
According to statistics, Taiwan imported 683 tons of large-size wire rods, decreasing by 26% from 992 tons in March. The average import prices were at NT$29,593/ton and the import values generated by these products totaled NT$20.21 million.
