China announces subsidies for energy-saving products
|
It is reported that the State Council of China decided to allocate subsidies of RMB 26.5 billion to encourage the use of energy-saving household appliances and products including air conditioners, flat-screen televisions, refrigerators, washing machines and water heaters.
Meanwhile, the government will allocate RMB 2.2 billion and RMB 6 billion of subsidies to stimulate the use of energy-efficient lamps and LED lighting as well as for the purchase of motor vehicles with engine capacities below 1.6 liters.
