Hyundai Steel, Dongkuk Steel to start repair schedule of rebar mills in May

It is reported that South Korean Hyundai Steel and Dongkuk Steel have planned to repair their rebar mills in May in spite of the peak season for the rebar market.
It’s known that Hyundai Steel would temporarily stop the operation of its small-size mill for nine days and main rebar mill for another eight days at its Incheon Works for all related facility repair process.
Meanwhile, the company would like to shut down its Pohang Plant for eight days as well.
In the meantime, Dongkuk Steel expected to set up repair schedule of rebar mills in May.
The company would temporarily close its rolling line No. 1 for five days and rolling line No. 2 for another six days in its Incheon Plant. Furthermore, the company has also shut down its steel bar production line at its Pohang Plant.
