ThyssenKrupp announces H1 financial results
|
Reportedly, ThyssenKrupp announced its financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2011/12.
In the first half of fiscal year 2011/12, the company realized profits before tax of €43 million, decreasing from €696 million in the same period of a year earlier.
At the same time, the company’s order intake rose by 2% year on year to €21.7 billion; however, its sales dropped by 1% to €20.5 billion, both compared to that in the same period of the previous year.
In the whole fiscal year 2011/12, ThyssenKrupp expected that its earnings from Steel Europe would stay flat at the first half level; nevertheless, it forecasted that its earnings at Materials Services would be better in the second half.
