US scrap prices dip by US$5~US$10/ton last week
|
Currently, the scrap prices in the US domestic market have decreased by US$5~US$10/ton due to oversupply.
In fact, most dealers predicted that the US scrap prices would rise in May as the US steel mills enhanced the production. However, the US scrap prices didn’t increase.
Besides, it’s said that several steel mills in the US have recently started the summer maintenance. As a result, the scrap purchases have been seen to drop further in June.
