Chun Yuan Steel, one of the major carbon steel service centers and structure companies in Taiwan said that its April sales revenue amounted to NT$1.763 billion, growing by 3% from March.
Also, this is the best number for Chun Yuan Steel after the global financial storm.
Chun Yuan Steel said the rising oil and power prices has impacted the Taiwanese auto industry. As a result, it caused the company's steel plate sales drop to NT$604 million in April from NT$674 million in March.
However, the company’s sales revenue generated from its construction division surged to NT$858 million in April from NT$722 million in a month earlier.
Meanwhile, its sales from special steel products and steel sections stayed firm in April.
Affected by these factors, Chun Yuan Steel’s sales revenue increased slightly in April.
