Transaction prices of BF killed wire rod rise slightly in Taiwanese market

Recently, the transaction prices of blast furnace (BF) killed wire rod have increased slightly to NT$23,500/ton in the Taiwanese market.
In fact, the transaction prices of BF killed wire rod have remained at NT$23,000~NT$23,500/ton since this year.
However, it surged to NT$23,500~NT$23,800/ton after the Taiwanese single-rolling mills hiked the list prices of wire rod for May.
For the prospect, industry sources indicated that the BF killed wire rod transaction prices might soar to NT$24,000/ton in the short term in the Taiwanese market as steel mills are unwilling to sell materials recently.
