Turkey’s Q1 wire rod exports soar by 16.4% y-o-y

According to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported 122,590 tons of wire rods in March, rising by 15.5% from a month earlier while decreasing by 3% year on year.
In March, the export values generated by wire rods amounted to US$78.8 million, surging by 13.6% month on month while dropping by 6.15% year on year.
In the first quarter of this year, Turkey’s exports of wire rods totaled 296,772 tons, increasing by 16.4% year on year. The total export values soared by 14.1% year on year to reach US$192.6 million.
