China aims to cut 8.5 million tons of steel and copper this year

According to the statement of industry ministry, China targets to reduce steel production by 7.8 million tons of steelmaking capacity and 700,000 tons of copper smelting capacity this year.
The policy aims to reduce pollution this year. The ministry of Industry and Technology also said that it will also target to cut about 270,000 tons of aluminum capacity this year.
