Taiwanese wire rod prices to remain flat on weak demand

Although the wire rod prices have remained stable in Taiwanese market, the demand has still kept weak.
It’s known that CSC remained its list prices of steel wire and bar unchanged for consecutive three months since this March.
At the same time, Taiwanese downstream screw makers have received stable orders from overseas markets.
Therefore, the transaction prices of wire rod have remained stable in Taiwanese market for a while.
However, market participants indicated that the wire rod prices might not rise further in Taiwanese market due to weak demand and China Steel Corp. (CSC)’s unchanged price policy.
