Taiwan’s March steel pipe imports soar by 71% m-o-m

According to statistics of Taiwan’s customs, Taiwan imported 1,224 tons of welded steel pipes in March, soaring significantly by 71% from 1,224 tons in February.
Among them, 559 tons were from Japan and 390 tons were from South Korea.
In March, Taiwan exported 8,895 tons of welded steel pipes, down by 7% from 9,521 tons in February, including 1,814 tons to Vietnam, 1,561 tons to Thailand and 1,479 tons to China.
Taiwanese steel pipe makers pointed out that the decreased steel pipe exports in March were caused by the declined demand from North America.
